Product Management

The Product Management team develops new products and services to support ICOM's core competencies. In addition, the group develops product strategies and marketing plans, and supports the organization by maintaining and training product knowledge throughout the organization. The team also creates systems to track industry, competitive and relevant public/regulatory trends.

Marketing Communications

The Marketing Communications team works together with Product Management and Sales to develop and execute effective B2B marketing communications to support critical sales and product strategies and uphold ICOM's corporate image. The projects led by Marketing Communications vary from direct marketing campaigns and trade shows, to product sales materials and public relations activity, with team members managing all stages of the process - from planning & creative development, sourcing external suppliers, through to final production and evaluation.

Sales & Client Services

Through an understanding of ICOM clients' business and priorities, Sales and Client Services personnel assist in building strategies and tailoring flexible solutions to address client needs. A consultative sales approach, combined with high quality program delivery, adds value as Sales and Client Services continue to develop and grow strong and strategic client relationships.

The Sales and Client Services team focuses its efforts in the U.S with two teams; one group is responsible for the direct response industry, the other team focuses on packaged goods and the pharmaceutical industry. Within Canada, the team covers all business sectors.

Operations

ICOM's Operations team uses leading edge proprietary ICOM technology to build our consumer responder database, manufacture and mail millions of custom-assembled fulfillment packages, and produce thousands of custom data orders every year.

ICOM's people are at the heart of this work. We have a modern manufacturing facility staffed by over 150 skilled, motivated production employees and office staff, who ensure that we meet our commitments to our clients everyday.

Our organization is led by a team of skilled professionals, who apply their respective expertise in a variety of fields to deliver improvement to our bottom line results through innovation and continual improvement. Whether it's an initiative to increase our productivity, an innovation to meet a client need, or an improvement to drive down our costs, we strive to deliver the best results we can to our customers.

Human Resources

ICOM's Human Resources team shares accountability with the business unit managers for leveraging the Company's financial, capital and human resources to improve profitability, increase customer satisfaction and build employee commitment and satisfaction.

Key areas of focus include; compensation planning, employee communications, employee relations & support, policy & legislative compliance, staff planning & recruitment, strategic planning and organizational development, and training & development.

Finance & Accounting

ICOM's Finance and Accounting team supports the business through the timely delivery of financial, management and business information. Its focus is to build a business partner relationship with other functions to foster problem solving, decision-making and value added services.

Consumer Insight

The Consumer Insight department specializes in the use and interpretation of data to provide solutions for both ICOM and its clients. The team's services include developing predictive models and customer segmentation techniques, data mining, and analyzing and targeting clients' most valuable customers.

The group also conducts or manages on-going market research and efficacy studies for ICOM and individual clients, and evaluates and improves new methods such as spatial analysis, to improve the team's knowledge, targeting accuracy and problem-solving capabilities.

Consumer Marketing

The Consumer Marketing Team is responsible for profitably acquiring and developing the consumer data that fuels ICOM's list, data and targeted consumer promotion products in both the U.S. and Canadian markets. As experts in consumer response and communications, the team is responsible for the planning and implementation of ICOM’s consumer acquisition strategy. This includes the management of consumer research, paper and online survey planning, execution and analysis, alternative acquisition channels, as well as the development and review of all consumer facing communications.

The team is responsible for ensuring high levels of consumer satisfaction and response through the development of a compelling consumer proposition and the careful management of all consumer facing communications and interactions.

Information Technology

The Information Technology team is responsible for the development and maintenance of a robust, stable technology environment that enables high quality, easy and efficient business processes in support of company goals. The IT team conducts the following activities:

  1. Maintain and enhance the technology environment
    Manage and support ICOM's servers, databases, network and desktop computing infrastructure, including a storage area network and Citrix environment. Provide help desk and other end user support. Identify, evaluate and implement new components of the technology infrastructure that improve system availability and business productivity. Technologies: EMC, Citrix, Unix, Intel, Mac.
  2. Application development and implementation
    Improve customer satisfaction and business profitability through the application of technology improvements to the applications and tools used by to the organization. The application portfolio consists of commercial and custom tools to support data querying, production floor execution, postal delivery, statistical analysis and other business functions. Identify new technologies to support or enhance ICOM’s technological edge. Define, evaluate and recommend enhancements to ICOM business processes. Technologies: Firstlogic, Alterian, SAS, SPSS, Windows, Exchange, C, SQL.
  3. Management of information assets
    Using database and data warehouse technologies, ensure the efficient storage and accessibility of information to the organization. Identify and resolve issues relating to the integrity and usability of the information in corporate databases. Provide security against intrusion, abuse and destruction of data via backup and disaster recovery activities. Technologies: Oracle, SQLServer.
